How a run behaves.
What the coach reads, what it decides on its own, what it holds for your approval, and what happens to your data. Short enough to read before you start.
How a run works
A run starts from one sentence. The coach turns it into a frame — a target user, a job to be done, and one hard constraint — and then works through eleven stages in four groups. Each stage reads something real, writes what it found, and unlocks the next.
A run is a session, not a background job. You can leave and come back; stages that finished stay finished. Anything still queued picks up where it stopped.
- Rerun a stage
- Any single stage can be rerun without restarting the run. Downstream stages that depended on it are marked stale rather than silently kept.
- Interrupt
- Ask the coach a question at any point. The question is answered against the evidence gathered so far, and the run resumes where it was.
- Confidence
- From stage 07 onward the coach reports how sure it is, based on how much corroborating evidence it found. Low confidence is surfaced, not hidden.
Evidence and citations
Every factual claim in a run carries the source it came from — a changelog entry, a pricing page, a careers listing, a support thread. Sources are fetched during the run, not recalled from training data, and they stay attached to the stage that used them.
If a claim has no source, it is written as an inference and labelled as one. That distinction is the point: you should be able to tell what the coach read from what the coach reasoned.

- Competitor sites and docs, pricing pages, changelogs and release notes, careers pages, app directories, review sites, and public community threads.
- What doesn't
- Anything behind a login, anything paywalled, and your own private repositories beyond the issues you explicitly link.
What runs automatically, and what stops
Research is unattended. Stages 02 through 06 go out, gather, and report without asking — that is most of the run's wall-clock time and none of its decisions.
Decide and Build stop for you. Anything that rewrites a feature's scope — splitting one, deferring one, changing acceptance criteria — is proposed and waits. Nothing lands in your backlog because the coach was confident.

Connecting GitHub
Link a repository and each shaped feature maps to a GitHub issue. You can let the coach create the mapping, or import issues you already have and attach them to existing features.
The link is two-way. When a pull request that references the issue merges, Jary closes the issue and advances the feature to shipped — no one moves a ticket by hand.

- Environments are connection-scoped, so a workspace can link more than one repository without them sharing settings.
AI usage and limits
Coach and AI plans include an allowance of AI usage per workspace. A typical eleven-stage run is well inside it; heavy reruns and long argument threads are what consume it.
If a workspace runs through its allowance, one-time credit packs top it up and the balance rolls over. Nothing stops mid-run without warning — you are told before a run would exceed what's left.

Your data
Your projects, runs, and conversations belong to you, and they are not used to train models. Deleting a project deletes its runs and the evidence attached to them.
Specific data regions and self-hosting are not self-serve today. If you need either, talk to us before you start — retrofitting it later is harder than setting it up first.
